I had no intention to watch this show but decided to give it a shot and boy oh boy did it not disappoint! This is easily the best show of the year! Stop reading my review and go watch this show NOW! BEEF follows Danny Cho a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, while Amy Lau is a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life when suddenly their feud consumes them as their lives and relationships become intertwined in more ways than one.

What made this show so special to me was how simple, deep, and amazing the story was! At first, it may look like a normal Dark Comedy show but it's quite the opposite in my opinion. It's more than that and gets serious and grounded by the end of it. I think that the comedy here was absolutely necessary so that the last 2 episodes or so can work. Talking about the comedy, it was hilarious and that's a sign of actually good writing. Rarely can TV Shows or Movies get me to laugh. Why this show worked so much for me was how it explored depression, loneliness, and other things in a deep and meaningful way. The last episode is one of the best TV hours I've seen since The Last Of Us Episode 3. It hit hard and was definitely a thought-provoking episode. I loved how sincere and true the show is. Rarely do Movies and TV Shows reach that height! Moreover, I want to applaud the writers for daring to go and explore these themes because I know it can be difficult and hard sometimes in execution but it was beautifully done here.

Any drama can't work without a convincing and powerful cast. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong were phenomenal. Their expressive face and performance made it a delight to watch them fight and argue with each other. Young Mazino, David Choe, and Joseph Lee did an equally good job with their role. The casting was top-notch as was everything else. Trust me when I say that "BEEF" is the best TV show of the year. I really can't recommend this enough to any casual viewer looking to binge-watch a fantastic show.
