The Flash more like the The Flush!

As stated by James Gunn himself The Flash is "the best superhero movie ever made" which got me all hyped up and excited to watch the film. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a massive mess and a huge disappointment, and no, it's not even close to holding the title of "the best superhero movie ever made". The Flash follows the Flash who uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation.

Ezra Miller (The Flash), Sasha Calle (Supergirl), and Ezra Miller (The Flash) in The Flash (2023)

We've seen the true potential of superhero movies these past 2 years. Whether it was The Batman or Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 we all enjoyed them due to their strong and excellent script. The Flash starts off strong and drifts into a video game style in the third act because I couldn't help myself but laugh at it. It showed how lazy and unfinished that third act was. I couldn't wrap my mind around it when I left the theater and I still can't! It ruined the experience and left me hugely disappointed. Moreover, I absolutely hated some decisions here which I obviously cannot discuss due to spoilers but they basically undo the whole film. On the bright side of things, I absolutely loved the performances here. Controversy aside, I really enjoyed Ezra Miller's performance here. He brought some much-needed charisma to the film and made me love the character even more. Sasha Calle and Micheal Keaton stole the show with their performances. On that note, I hate that Calle's Supergirl was sidelined and was given minimal screen time.

Micheal Keaton (The Batman) in The Flash (2023)

The thing that annoys me the most in any movie is unfinished CGI. I can't believe I'm saying this but honestly, most modern video games feature higher fidelity in their animation work and models than this film has. Now my real problem with the film is that it's disrespectful towards some actors. I cannot discuss them here but some of the cameos are honestly disgraceful and shows how greedy Warner Bros. is! Overall, I truly cannot recommend The Flash despite it having some good elements and cool action moments. I truly hope that James Gunn restores the DCU back to its former glory.
