An excellent and beautiful conclusion to one of the best shows in TV history!

Every once in a while, a TV Show must come to an end and goodbyes are always hard. "Sex Education" is what I consider one of the best-written TV shows in TV history. It brought me so much joy to watch and live with these characters for 4 years and this season was truly a great send-off. Sex Education Season 4 follows Otis and Eric who now face a new frontier - their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying, they won't be losers again.

Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee) and Asa Butterfield (Otis Milburn) in Sex Education Season 4 (2023)

What made "Sex Education" such a special show was not the sex but the writing and particularly its characters. Since the first season, we were introduced to an eccentric and energetic cast of characters who grew and developed through the 4 seasons. Fortunately, Season 4 continues with this tradition. Everyone and I mean everyone was given a proper goodbye and had a nice conclusion to their story arcs and while it may bite off more than it can chew it still delivered. One thing that surprised me in this season was how dark and sad it was compared to the other 3. I loved that aspect of this season and how emotional it got near the end. On that thought, I have to discuss that ending. It's a bittersweet ending and while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it was certainly mine. It felt satisfying to finally get a conclusion about these awesome characters and this fantastic show. On the bright side of things, the show continues to perfect its comedy. It's a perfect balance between Drama and Comedy which Sex Education has perfected from the start and the humor is nothing short of comedic brilliance!

Dan Levy (Thomas Molloy) and Emma Mackey (Maeve Wiley)  in Sex Education Season 4 (2023)

What Sex Education continued was obviously the sex. One thing that I always loved about this show was how inclusive and open it was. The theme of inclusiveness in society was greatly explored in its script and made for a very interesting watch. This unfortunately came with one disadvantage which was how crowded and packed this season was. For a final season, the show should have focused on its base characters instead of introducing new characters. Finally, I would like to mention the talented cast here. Asa Butterfield and Emma Mackey as well as Ncuti Gatwa stole the spotlight whenever they were on screen. They beautifully portrayed their characters and brought so many emotional layers to them. Aimee Lou Wood, Mimi Keene, Adam Groff, and George Robinson did an equally good job at bringing their characters to life. Praise should also go towards the rest of the cast which did a great job too. Overall, "Sex Education" Season 4 is a beautiful conclusion to one of the best and most beautiful shows in TV history. Now stop reading my review and go watch this show as soon as possible.
