Whenever I'm watching a new season of "Only Murders In The Building" I keep asking myself: How can they surpass what they did in the previous season? Well, Season 3 proved again why It's the best murder mystery show right now! "Only Murders In The Building Season 3" follows the podcasting trio of Charles, Mabel, and Oliver are back at it here, after having already solved two murders in their building.

Martin Short (Oliver Putnam), Selena Gomez (Mabel Mora), and Steve Martin (Charles-Haden Savage) in Only Murders in the Building Season 3 (2023)

What I really like about this show is how they handle the writing and this season they spice things up with the addition of musicals! The writing is still sharp, witty, and smart! The show will keep you guessing till the last episode and will blow you away with its twists and turns. On that thought, I cannot believe how shocking that ending was and I'm glad they did it! Moreover, I have to praise the character development in this season. Mabel's character was already very well developed in season 2 and that continued a bit in S3 but S3 focused more on developing Oliver's and Charles's characters. Furthermore, I liked that they included stage plays in this show because it made for an interesting choice. I liked how it blended reality with fiction and this just proves why it's the best when it comes to murder mysteries.

Now let's dive into what made this season the best season of the show. The performances and the musical numbers were truly a delight! First off, I have to praise Meryl Streep's and Paul Rudd's performances. They brought something new to the show and were a welcomed addition. Of course, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short are still the heart of this show and they still gave some phenomenal performances thanks to their chemistry. Secondly, those musical performances were truly phenomenal. They're fast, catchy, and quite entertaining! I still listen to some of them to this day and can't get them out of my head! Now stop reading my review and go binge-watch this show. If you haven't started yet now is the time to do so!
