Deadpool & Wolverine

Since its announcement; there has been a huge buzz around "Deadpool & Wolverine". Talks of it being the next "Avengers: Endgame" rekindled my hope for the MCU. If you continued watching after Endgame, you'd know that the MCU wasn't in a good state. Well, after watching the film; I have one thing to say: This was exactly what the MCU needed! "Deadpool & Wolverine" follows Wolverine who is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.

Firstly, I must praise Hugh Jackman’s performance here. He’s back as Wolverine and is better than ever. I felt like a kid again when I saw him back on the big screen and I bet you would too! Praise should also go towards our “lovely” merc with a mouth! This is Reynold’s best performance as Deadpool ever! His charisma and humor always get me cracking and crying with laughter! As you might have suspected; the chemistry between these 2 stars was off the charts! It honestly felt like a dream, and still feels like it, that these 2 shared the screen again! Who took me by surprise was Emma Corin! She delivered an excellent performance and made Nova feel terrifying! While her screen time was minimal, I really enjoyed her performance here! To be honest, this might be the most fun I've had with any MCU entry post-Endgame. There's everything you would dream of having in a Deadpool movie! For starters, the movie is littered with big and gory slow-mo action sequences that are exceptionally well-choreographed! The opening and the last action sequences in particular left my jaw on the floor! Everything from the camera movement to the flawless choreography made for one hell of a spectacle!

Speaking of crazy, this movie is filled with very cool cameos. I won't say who is in the film but I will say believe the hype! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing on screen and after a whole day, I’m still processing what craziness I witnessed! Those cameos, unlike past entries, helped the story go forward and progress. On that thought, I must discuss the story. While It felt weaker compared to past entries, I embraced the craziness that I witnessed and I enjoyed the hell out of it! Furthermore, I really enjoyed the comedy here! I found myself laughing throughout the entire runtime of the film! Moreover, I liked the satire here. Just like the past entries, the movie is filled with satirical jokes about film studios, films, and celebrities! It was funny and I liked every second of it! Oh and if you think this movie got toned down because of Disney, fret not because this movie is littered with f*cks and sh*its and blood! You get it, it’s part of the job! In a nutshell, “Deadpool & Wolverine” is not only one of the most entertaining films of the year but it’s one of the best comic book movies ever! LFG!!!
