A bloody fun time!
"Heart Eyes" is a film that I've been keeping my eyes (pun intended!) on for a while now. And now that I have finally watched it, I can say that "Heart Eyes" is a pretty funny and fun film for rom-com fans and slasher fans out there! "Heart Eyes" follows a masked maniac with glowing, red eyes who returns every Valentine's Day to slaughter unsuspecting couples. When a cynical ad executive and her hopelessly romantic colleague become the next target, they decide to fight back and end the reign of terror.

I'm going to keep this review short and sweet, so without further ado, let's dive into the gnarly details of what makes this film a pretty fun one! First off, let's talk about those kills! This film has some pretty solid and gory kills! They are scream-level kills, and the first kill and last kill in particular were insane to say the least! They're fun and bloody as hell! While the kill carries some of this film, the story, on the other hand, carries it too. The story can come off as mediocre for most of its part, but the funny dialogue and the twists and turns keep it interesting through its 97-minute runtime.

Finally, I must praise the performances here. Firstly, I think Olivia Holt did a pretty solid job here as Ally. She was great in the role and gave quite a good performance. On the other hand, Mason Gooding was much better than Holt and carried some of the moments here. The killer's performance was also a standout here! Despite some nitpicks, there's really nothing else to say about this film other than it is a fun, gory, and funny slasher for rom-com and horror lovers out there!
